About us

Established in 2005, Radio Zamaneh launched its activities as a radio-website on August 4, 2006. This radio-website is intended to convey information, analyses and educational or entertainment programmes.

The target audience of Zamaneh is the youth of the Iranian society and all the programmes of this radio are produced in an endeavour to understand the needs and requirements of Iranians.

In 2004, with the efforts of Iranians such as Farah Karimi, the Dutch Member of Parliament, a budget was approved by the Dutch parliament to establish a Persian media in Amsterdam with the objectives of cultural interaction and promotion of human rights.

The main financial sponsorship for Radio Zamaneh comes from the approved budget of the Dutch Parliament which is entrusted with an independent media organization called Press Now. Zamaneh endeavours to remain dedicated and committed to ethical and professional standards of journalism, human rights, freedom of speech and universal democratic values.

Radio Zamaneh is deemed as a window for the Iranian youth opening out to the world. Through benefiting from the young journalists, writers and producers, Zamaneh aims at opening new horizons in viewing the issues inside Iran.

This radio-website is open to its readers and listeners. Any listener or reader can be a producer or writer for Zamaneh. Maximum interaction with the audience is the most important objective of Zamaneh.

Radio Zamaneh is currently broadcasting on the web and on satellite 24 hours a day via Hotbird 13 degrees east, frequency 12476 MHz, Polarization horizontal, S/R 27500.
